Refurbishing an old table

I was given my kitchen table. I have had it for years and it is a good solid piece of furniture probably as old as I am.

It was very dark and very large. I felt like it was sucking all the light out of the room. So I did what all impulsive people do I got up one day and painted it.

I know not something that would suit everyone or every decor but I love how a little paint can add a lot of personality and an entirely new look!
